Your privacy.
Our commitment.
Sorvyn ("we", "us", "our", "the service") provides communication and automation services on behalf of service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information across all of the channels we operate: website chat, website contact forms, SMS/text messaging, and email. By interacting with a business that uses Sorvyn, you acknowledge this policy. Sorvyn acts as a service layer on behalf of the business — the business is the party you are communicating with.
- Website chat — a chat assistant on the business's website that answers visitor questions in real time.
- Website contact forms — inquiries submitted through a business's web form, answered by email or SMS.
- SMS / text messaging — replies to customer texts and missed calls, and (with prior consent) reminders, recovery, review and win-back messages.
- Email — replies to inbound email and web-form inquiries, sent on behalf of the business.
All communication facilitated by Sorvyn is either customer-initiated or sent to customers who have given prior consent. We do not send unsolicited outreach, cold messages, or marketing campaigns.
Depending on the channel, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address (web form, email)
- Phone number (SMS, missed call, web form where provided)
- Message content and inquiry details
- Service interest or industry, where provided
- Message metadata such as subject line, timestamps, and consent records
- IP address (web form and chat, for spam prevention)
We do not collect payment card details, government identification, or special-category sensitive data through any channel.
- Phone numbers and SMS consent records are used only to send messages on behalf of the specific business the customer interacted with.
- We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with any third party, and we do not share them with other businesses or for marketing purposes.
- SMS consent is per-business and is never transferred between businesses.
- Opt-out (STOP) requests and their timestamps are retained as part of the compliance record.
Information is used solely to:
- Generate and send replies on behalf of the business across the relevant channel
- Respond accurately to the customer's specific inquiry or request
- Maintain a record of the conversation for the business's review
- Maintain consent and opt-out records as required by law
- Improve the quality and accuracy of automated responses
- Prevent spam and fraudulent submissions
How consent is obtained and withdrawn varies by channel and is described in detail in our Messaging & Consent Policy. In summary: SMS recipients can reply STOP to opt out at any time; email recipients can use the unsubscribe link in any message; web chat is visitor-initiated only. Opting out is never a condition of receiving service.
We do not sell or rent personal information. Conversation data is shared only with the business on whose behalf Sorvyn operates. We use trusted infrastructure providers (such as messaging and email delivery services) strictly to operate the platform, under appropriate data-processing terms. As stated above, mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties for marketing.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the data entrusted to us.
We retain inquiry data, contact details, conversation records, and consent/opt-out records only as long as necessary to provide the service, support the business's operational needs, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations (including retention of consent and opt-out records required under applicable messaging laws). You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent for messaging at any time
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@sorvyn.io. We respond in accordance with applicable laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. Material changes will be noted with an updated date below. Continued use of any service connected to Sorvyn following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
